
Oma Irene (Walton) Emerson, 85 of Beavercreek, Ohio
was born April 10, 1927, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was the daughter of Jesse Lee and
Maude Irene (Moore) Walton. Blessed
with 85 years of life, she was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April
29, 2012, in Covington Care Center, Covington, Ohio. Oma was preceded in death by her parents; husband Everett J.
Emerson, and daughter, Sherideth Elaine (Emerson) Johnson. Celebrating Oma’s legacy and cherishing her
memory include caregivers; devoted daughters, Loretta Faye (Emerson) Taylor,
Sherideth Elaine (Emerson) Johnson and her nurse Caroline. In addition to Oma’s immediate family, Oma
leaves to cherish her son, Charles Lee Emerson and daughter, Loretta Faye
(Emerson) Taylor of Ludlow Falls, Ohio; ten grandchildren; twenty
great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a number of other
family members and friends. Quoting
from Oma’s book, “Because we were preacher’s kids, Dad said we had to look and
act different.” She attended at least
23 different schools and graduated Johnson’s School Of Beauty Cosmetology at
East Waco, Texas, October 1944. She was a Ladies Auxiliary member of Beavercreek Memorial
VFW Post 8312, Beavercreek, Ohio. Oma attended Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, 1850 North Fairfield Road Beavercreek, Ohio. USA.
